Chhattisgarh State Finance Service association is an organized forum of finance services officers of the state. It is dedicated to the protection and promotion of the interests of service officers and efficient financial administration.
The union was established in the year 2003, when the finance service officers of Chhattisgarh united and resolved to strengthen professional and social interests and to promote professional excellence. Since then, the union has been continuously working on issues such as upliftment of the rights of its members, cadre management, development of economic capability of the state etc. through correspondence, discussions & conferences with the government.
It is known that before the formation of Chhattisgarh, this service was a part of MP Finance and Accounts Service, which was formed in 1965. At the time of formation of Chhattisgarh state, 104 posts were received by the State Finance Service cadre, which has reached 388 today. There is a mix of sufficient experience and energy in them.
Recruitment to this service is done through competitive examination conducted by Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission and promotion from Subordinate Accounts Service.
The executive body of the association consists of the president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, joint secretary, 10 nominated executive members and 5 nominated divisional heads. The association organizes annual conference and publishes Sunidhi magazine. State Finance Service Officers Association is fully committed to better financial management, economic development and prosperity of the state and protection and promotion of the interests of its members.
